AdWords only good for businesses which are selling products

adwords

I recently received a $100 voucher via e-mail from Google AdWords. I thought I’d try it out with the fee of signing up only costing me £5, while I was allowed $100 in free advertising. I just wanted traffic to essentially come to my site, however what I found out that it was really expensive, the traffic might have been targeted however it is damned expensive especially for the low click amounts especially if you are just aiming for traffic to come to your site.

The Social Network Movie

I just watched “The Social Network” and it was absolutely great watching how Facebook started and the company is at where it is at. Even though none of the cast look like any of the people in reality, the film is still great to watch. However the thing that caught me in this film was how much of a douche Mark Zuckerburg has been depicted in this film. The story seems to be told through the law suite case where $65,000,000 ($USD) is given to the Winklevoss twins and an undisclosed amount to his original partner which he dumped who was  [ Read More ]

The reason sites like WikiLeaks exist and why they should exist

Posted by webmaster on August - 19 - 2010

WIKILEAKS is an organization which allows whistle blowers to go and send information to, to essentially advertise information the general public is not privy too in most cases. However as I go around on different forum boards, you see that people state that WikiLeaks should not release information in case people get harmed from the information that is released. I agree with this. They should first check all the information before they release it. They should not ever release anything without checking it first. That is my qualm with WikiLeaks.

New upcoming forum script from former vBulletin developers

Posted by webmaster on August - 12 - 2010

I’ve come a little late on picking up this new up coming premium forum software called xenforo. It is being created by developers who originally played large roles in developing vBulletin who have obviously now moved onto their own projects away from the realms of a company controlling them now (i.e. Internet Brands) who not so long ago acquired vBulletin. I’m interested in the development of this new script as it does look quite polished in its current incarnation.

An entire review of WiredTree since 2007

Posted by webmaster on January - 23 - 2010

I have been with WiredTree.com since 2007 – which is quite sometime since I believe they started their services early in 2007; or according to Archive.org. I have had quite a history with them going from having one VPS with them, then getting leasing another VPS and then upgrading to a full blown dedicated server. (Quad Core) And as of early 2010 upgrading the processor of the quad core to a higher spec. What I have liked about WiredTree is most importantly their support, usually if your server is down they are on the job sorting it out for you without having  [ Read More ]
