Google Chrome is a web browser, like Firefox or Internet Explorer, which I’ve been using currently as my main browser. I prefer the easiness and performance factors which come with using the the browser itself, as it is fast and efficient evident to the fact that Chrome seems to pop up faster when I click open both browsers and things seem so much smoother when browsing the Internet when using Chrome. Thus I went with the choice of selecting Google Chrome as my main browser. Anyways this is not what this article is about. It is about donating to those [ Read More ]

After a lot of hard work getting content up and running on my armoured vehicle website, Google has awarded my website something called “Google Sitelinks”, essentially a program which Google introduced in 2005 to make it easier for users of the search engine to see what was on the sites before entering the website itself. There is no assured way of getting these ‘Sitelinks’, since Google haven’t released information on how they are obtained since webmasters might want to manipulate the algorithm which automates the system to assess whether you should have Google Sitelinks. They have incorporated like a recent UI update from PayPal, ajax scripting to make the user experience much better and smoother for AdSense users. In recent updates Google have updated their ‘search’ service called “Google Instant”, which uses ajax type scripting. It seems for Google and other big companies, ajax is the way forward. I recently received a $100 voucher via e-mail from Google AdWords. I thought I’d try it out with the fee of signing up only costing me £5, while I was allowed $100 in free advertising. I just wanted traffic to essentially come to my site, however what I found out that it was really expensive, the traffic might have been targeted however it is damned expensive especially for the low click amounts especially if you are just aiming for traffic to come to your site.

I’ve been developing websites for quite a bit now and I haven’t really done any work on search engine optimization. I originally thought it was only a farce which the big search engine companies did to try and earn extra money by getting webmasters to do what they wanted them to do, to optimize their sites for search engines. I was wrong. It works and it is working wonderfully for me at the moment. Let’s take my site that I’ve been developing for a while now (Since 2008), in the first year organic traffic was low, however the fact there was [ Read More ]

At one point in my internet life, I was domain name crazy. This is when I a bit of money to spend and when I didn’t care about what I spent it on. In the end I ended up with 50 domain names and this is just over a period of 3 years. The revelation comes as I only have 5 domain names as I only renew the domains that I actually use. The problem that I have is that I have too many ideas and I try and utilize all of them and in the end it becomes too [ Read More ]

What you require for a successful website is consistent traffic, that way if you have a community or if you have information which is like gold on your website the words gets around usually on social networking websites and when you get those kinds of back-links, your website usually does well in Google Search engine rank results.
