As you can probably tell if you visit this website or if you’ve previously visited this website is that it loads a little faster than it did before. This is because I wasn’t happy with the load time when loading my web pages on the server previous to the fast one we are on now. My host happily moved me to an 8 core server in comparison to the 4 core server we were on. I’ve noticed much better response and loading times when loading pages or simply viewing things in cPanel/WHM. – Where before things were a little slow, however cPanel/WHM was terribly slow at certain times which is basically why I wanted to move to another server and my host was nice enough to accommodate me in switching  all my websites to the new server.

I also blogged about this on my other website [S: Jargoned.com] about how stressful it was as I had problems with DNS settings, which wasn’t my fault as my host had configured one of the domains wrongly or perhaps it was simply WHM when they done the switch over. But I’ll just blame my host since I can! – I like my host, they were very responsive when I had problems and because of this one incident I’d probably recommend them to friends. Though there is one thing for sure, they need to change their web design. It is getting a bit old now and design has leaped boundaries from what it used to be. – Though saying that, I’ve seen much worse websites, so I can’t really complain too much about their design.

Update on the website

There are also other successes about the server move. ePanel [E: A control panel inside WP that allows me to make additions/changes to WP] is now working for me, where it didn’t before on the old server for some odd reason. Now that it is working you’ll be able to see that the there are several layout changes. On top of this, the comments system is also now working on new articles and articles where I’ve enabled the commenting system. – As again for some odd reason, the commenting system wasn’t working on the old server and it is now working on the new server for some unknown reason; which I can’t work out or I can’t be bothered to work out at the moment. So at least I’m not pondering over how some features of my website are not working anymore; since everything now works.
